BudgetTracker

Spreadsheet programs such as Microsoft Excel have made the mathematical calculations in the budgeting process much easier and also offer the capability to quickly produce graphs. However, we believe budgeting for a scholarship student is a much more fluid process. A student may want to immediately see what a reduction in their clothing budget can impact their food budget, or they may want to view how their budget is affected from the expenses in their education while supplying their course materials or making dormitory payments.

BudgetTracker give students a user interface in which they could interact with their budgets by using easy direct manipulations. It can give users bar graphs which can be manipulated and give them a sense of what proportion of their budget is going where. BudgetTracker is also provides expense categories and allow users to manipulating dynamically these categories. It provides an interactive, real-time graph that represents a student’s budget that provides all the monetary decisions. The target users are people that are interested in self-budgeting.
