Abstract: Social network simulation serves as a valuable tool for addressing various research problems, including influence maximization for the dissemination of information and new technologies (e.g., electric vehicles, chat apps), epidemiological modeling for a deeper understanding of disease spread and the development of effective intervention strategies, and temporal analysis of networks. Within this context, our contribution is the development of a simulator, which aims to establish a foundational framework for simulation, simplifying the coding process for researchers. It facilitates a “network-as-code" approach, in which the network, agents, their interactions, details of analysis and visualization are defined using configuration files and code. Moreover, it enables social scientists and non-technical users to conduct no-code simulations through a configuration file or direct user interface input. To validate its effectiveness, we conduct tests on the initial version using simulated data with the SIR model, commonly employed in epidemiological studies, and a real-life social network dataset employing the Information Cascade model.
