Scheduling on the Edge

Abstract: The interest in edge computing has been steadily growing over the last few years both in research and development. Edge computing systems are anticipated to constitute a big proportion of the overall storage and computing infrastructure in the near future. This trend is driven by a large set of important use cases that edge computing enables. As one of its most important use cases, edge computing meets the low-latency requirement of new generation applications. However, edge computing brings unique challenges in resource scheduling. In my presentation I will talk about algorithms which are some solutions to that scheduling problem.
