Snow Accumulation Through Height Fields

In this work, an algorithm for snow accumulation is presented. This algorithm includes the use of height fields. NVIDIA particle system from NVIDIA Physx SDK is used to generate particles. System adjusts and renders height fields in real time. The system allows user to change the resolution of the height fields or number of snow particles generated per time so that more detailed results can be obtained by losing from real time performance. This is the flexibility of the system, it can be modified in many ways to test different types of simulations, both real time and non real time. The aim was to obtain an efficient algorithm for being a basis to real time snow accumulation and it is accomplished.
