Reputation System for Trust Management in Server-Based P2P Networks and 2nd generation P2P Networks

In daily life, the process of trust building is done by interactions with other people. But in large communities like P2P communities in the Internet, trust building become very hard or nearly impossible because in daily life, interactions are nearly always between people which are well-known to each other. But in P2P communities, people don't know each other well enough for building trust, in most cases people interact with each other only once. So how can people find a reliable person for a transaction? The solution of this problem is reputation systems. A reputation system collects, distributes, and aggregates feedback about participants’ past behavior. We propose a reputation system for 2nd generation P2P networks and server-based P2P networks.
