Modeling Cellular Networks

Cells boast a very complex decision making machinery, determining their reaction to the changes in the environment. Underlying mechanism is a massively parallel network of interacting molecules. The PATIKA project aims to build an integrated software environment for modeling and analyzing this network. In this talk we will present several aspects of PATIKA which might be more interesting for computer scientist. First we will briefly explain our ontology, to give an idea about our modeling strategy. We will then describe other ontology efforts and how PATIKA ontology correlates with them. Then we will describe our concurrent data curation and integration pipeline. Finally we will give a high level overview of PATIKApro, our latest version.
