The course includes various project assignments which needs to be performed as a group consisting of 3 members.

1. Essay on experience reports of industrial software product line engineering cases
   
   A number of real industrial cases are provided (chapter 21 textbook). Students need to select a case and provide an essay of 10 pages.  The case will be presented by one of the group members.  

2. Product Line Engineering Project Report
   
   a) Domain Engineering
   In this project assignment, students need to select their own case for which they will need to apply a product line engineering process. The project will result in a product line engineering report that includes the important steps of domain engineering, application engineering and product management. The project results will be presented during the lectures.
   
   b) Application Engineering
   The second part of this assignment will complete the product line engineering report by discussing and presenting examples of applications that are derived from the product line architecture.

Over the entire semester each project group will need to provide an essay on an experience report, and a product line engineering project report consisting of domain engineering and application engineering part.
