ABOUT

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Department of Computer Sciences, in Bilkent University. My research focusses on real-time interactive simulations in augmented reality (A.R.) environments. I am particularly interested in all sorts of computer graphics(CG) applications, including simulations of physical phenomena, articulated figure animations, virtual and augmented reality applications. I have also worked on real-time navigation and simulation of human crowds within virtual urban environments during my M.S. study in Bilkent University. My supervisor is Prof. Dr. Uğur Güdükbay

SOME OF MY WORK

OUTDOOR A.R. (ONGOING)

As my Ph.D. thesis, I am currently working on bayesian estimation methods for fusing the information acquired from different sensors such as Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs), Integrated cameras and GPS devices. The approach is to be used for tracking the camera position and orientation in an outdoor augmented reality simulation. The simulation runs on an Android based mobile computer.

CAMERA CALIBRATION TOOL

A simple but useful camera calibration tool written in C# to compute intrinsic parameter matrices of cameras connected to your PC. Makes use of Emgu and OpenCV Libraries. (download)

THE MAN WHO SAVES THE UNIVERSE

A video game project we had developed with my colleagues Buğra Yıldız and Cem Murat Turgut using the Unity3d Game Engine for the CS563-Real-Time Computer Graphics course. It is currently unfinished. (presentation)(download)

PUZZLEMASTER

A 3d Cubic Puzzle game I've developed as an assignment for the CS560-3D User Interfaces course using the Unity3D Game Engine.(download)

3D FILESYSTEM VISUALIZER

A 3D Filesystem Visualization application developed for CS560-3D User Interfaces course using the Unity3D Game Engine. Supports stereoscopic (anaglyph) rendering and depth of field effects. A 3DConnexion Space Navigator® is required to execute the application. Also requires a folder named "data" in C drive which acts as the root folder of the file visualizer.(presentation)(download)
