WHAT DOES A POINT-MASS DO UNDER THE ACTION OF A FORCE?
The prevalent view among physicists is that Newton's Second Law
should be conceived of as being about point-masses, i.e. its domain
should be taken to consist of particles which have mass but no
volume. Does this construal lead to a contradiction?
